7DRL Day 4 Progress
Before bed, I mostly worked on finishing off the rest of the combat system. Enemies now properly die when they reach 0 HP.
If your dog dies, they go unconscious for several turns before waking up with a small amount of HP regained.
Once you die, that’s it. Game over state implemented.
During my night at work, I mostly spent my time redoing a bunch of little pieces of code to make them more generic. I squashed a few bugs and implemented a functioning actions menu.
I spent a lot of my time programming today making it so you could properly select a target for actions. It took a while, but I was able to eventually get it working, so now implementing other actions and usable items should be really quick work.
Other than that not much to show for tonight sadly. I spent a lot of time during work drawing some sprites, doodling a title screen concept, and trying to pick out music and sound effects. Hopefully I’ll be able to show those off soon.
